Legal Siblingship DNA Test
Get court-admissible siblingship results with a Legal Siblingship DNA Test using documented chain-of-custody procedures. Professional sample collection and identity verification are required to preserve the integrity of the testing process and evaluate a possible full- or half-sibling biological relationship.
All tested participants must complete professional DNA sample collection and provide the required identification and documentation at the time of collection. Legal testing follows documented chain-of-custody procedures and samples cannot be self-collected.
Participants should be prepared for identity verification, participant photographs, required signatures, and completion of chain-of-custody documentation. Adults should bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Additional documentation may be required depending on the participants and purpose of the test.
B-Sure DNA will provide the applicable documentation requirements when coordinating the collection appointment.
Professional DNA sample collection at one collection location is included in the price of your Legal DNA Test within B-Sure DNA’s designated service area. All participants must appear at the same collection location for the included collection. After your order is placed, B-Sure DNA will coordinate a mobile collection appointment as close to the customer’s location as reasonably possible, using a neutral collection location whenever available. If collection is required at more than one location, additional collection fees will apply and arrangements must be made with B-Sure DNA. During the appointment, participant identification will be verified and samples will be collected using the required chain-of-custody procedures to support court-admissible results.
After your order is placed, B-Sure DNA will contact you within 1 business day to coordinate your professional DNA collection appointment. At the appointment, participant information will be verified, DNA samples will be collected using documented chain-of-custody procedures, and the samples will be securely prepared for shipment to the laboratory. Results are generally available within 5 business days after all required samples are received by the laboratory. Results are provided through secure online access.
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your DNA collection appointment. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be changed without a rescheduling fee.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to the $75 rescheduling fee. Any applicable fee must be paid before a new collection appointment is scheduled.
Please arrive on time for your scheduled DNA collection appointment. A 15-minute grace period will be provided for late arrivals. Arrivals more than 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time may require rescheduling if there is insufficient time remaining to complete the collection within the scheduled appointment window.
A $75 rescheduling fee will apply to no-shows or when a customer’s late arrival prevents the scheduled collection from being completed. The fee must be paid before a new collection appointment is scheduled.
No late-arrival or rescheduling fee will be charged when the delay or missed appointment is caused by B-Sure DNA or the assigned collector.
